Mark, fun and sophisticated pots! I enjoy your surface treatment and design. I want to say I met you last March at the ACC show in Atlanta. YOu know my friend and old studiomate, Jason Bohnert. What do you teach? My wife is looking for a teaching job also in the Atlanta surroundings. She has put in some app. for the counties, but no jobs have been available yet. If you here of any give a shout! Best to you.
Hey Mark-
I'm in the midst of unloading now....overall, the firing was great! There are some pale, dry pots in middle, back of stack where soda didn't penetrate - next time I'll use some salt cups back there. I'll post some images on my blog site after I shoot slides this weekend.
Good luck at Charlotte...I haven't been doing the ACC shows in a couple years. Wholesale business from Rosen has kept me plenty busy, and I found I wasn't making that much more doing reatail shows, by the time you pay fees and travel, plus time away from studio. I'm just plain too far from them now. Charlotte can be a great audience, though, so I hope you do really well! Cheers, Jason
Hey Mark! Long time no see....Love the new pots your making!! I just relocated to Flagstaff, AZ and finished building a gas/wood/soda kiln at my home studio. I had my very first firing in it yesterday....looking forward to unloading tomorrow to see how she worked. Glad to see you're enjoying your pottery making...cheers, jason

I really like that blue that you use, Is it a recipe of your own. I would like to add more color to my pots but very subtle as accents...
