I use this slip on 95% of my pots. I use Highwater Clay's Zella Stone. I apply leather hard. Thicker application produces crackle. I tend to fire in oxidation to get it to look buttery, or butterlicious. Looks nice in reduction too, but can get to...

- What kind of work do you do?
- Wheel-thrown decorative and functional salt/soda-fired pottery. Lately...less functional and more decorative. Once-fire to cone 10. Propane fueled crossdraft catenary. 40 cubic feet stacking space. 24 hour firing including overnight candle. 4 lbs table salt, 1 lb baking soda, distributed in 1/2 lb burritos, 2 at a time from cone 7 to cone 10. Slow cool for 2 days.
