I am currently firing in an electric kiln converted into a soda kiln fueled by propane. I fire to cone 10 without a lot of effort. If you can rig a blower or if you have a forced air burner, it will FLY up to cone 10 and beyond. Give it a try :)

What kind of work do you do?
I work in porcelain. My work is wheel thrown and altered slightly. When my work is finished it has about 6 layers of information on the surface through the use of engobes, terra sig, glaze, and the soda as the final layer. I've spent the last year experimenting with soda firing.
