Here is brief statement concerning the grave markers shown in the slide show:

Formally, this work represents my initial fascination with not only the singular closed form made by traditional potters, but with its unique function. Serving only to Mark time and space both physically and conceptually, these pieces interrupt expectations of functionality, and further investigate the boundaries of pottery and sculpture. Salt Glaze Workshop Part 1

Here is a link to my first salt glaze firing experience. I took a 3 week workshop with Chris Baumann and Stacy Stanhope of Clay Fetish Pottery which I highly recommend.

Using Wood Pulp mixed with soda

Has anyone ever experimented with adding wood pulp to soda burritos?

I make soda burritos and put them between the bag walls and the burner ports and allow them to become volatile and evaporate throughout the firing process. I was wondering if adding specific types of wood pulp (e.g. pine, elm, or cherry) would be of interest to add to the soda burritos in terms of their influence on surface treatment.
